Sinopsis The Legend Of The Sea Episode 1:
Drama Korea “The Legend og the Blue Sea” alur drama nya di adaptasi dari cerita seorang putri duyung dari cerita koleksi “Eou yadam” oleh sarjana Yu Mong-In. Dalam buku era Joseon tercatat seorang bernama Kim Dam-Nyeong mengembalikan putri duyung yang tertangkap nelayan kembali ke laut.Suatu hari pada bulan Agustus 1598, gubernur baru Dam Ryung diperankan oleh Lee Min-Ho menginap semalam di sebuah penginapan yang dikelola oleh Tuan Yang diperankan oleh Sung Dong-Il. Pada malam itu, Dia menunjukkan Dam Ryung seorang putri duyung yang tertangkap bernama Sim Chung yang diperankan Gianna Jun. Di malam itu juga, Dam Ryung melepaskannya ke laut dan, sebelum dia berenang, Sim Chung mengulurkan tangannya ke Dam Ryung yang sempat dipegangnya sebentar.
Pada hari ini (masa sekarang), Joon Jae dieprankan oleh Lee Min-Ho adalah sosok penipu yang menggunakan kemampuannya dengan berbicara layaknya seorang pesulap. Dia bekerja dengan Nam-Doo diperankan oleh Lee Hee-Joon dan Tae-O diperankan Shin Won-Ho).
